In April 2025, the Luminous 05, an AEM anion exchange membrane hydrogen production equipment independently developed by WarpEnergy, was successfully connected to the Australian green methanol preparation system, running stably and passing the acceptance inspection. The system will participate in the industrial project of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Training Center for The Global Hydrogen Economy, providing efficient, economical, and stable technical support for the preparation of green hydrogen and the synthesis of green methanol and green ammonia. Luminous 05 is a new generation of AEM hydrogen production equipment released by WarpEnergy New Energy in August 2024. It adopts independently developed high activity, low-cost catalysts and innovative electrode production processes, combining the advantages of high electrolysis efficiency (Industry-leading DC energy consumption industry), low cost (manufacturing cost and water cost), and simple and easy to control BOP architecture. It can quickly start and stop to adapt to wind and solar power resources, maximizing green hydrogen production efficiency. Combining the advantages of traditional alkaline (ALK) and proton exchange membrane (PEM) technologies, while avoiding their inherent defects, AEM technology has the dual advantages of low cost and high efficiency, and is considered a key path for the large-scale application of green hydrogen in the future.
